Elderly sitters

Mothers who are not here

you hear them via phones

video calls, messages

Physically they are present

in presents

in life in money they send

Mentally always in thought

They are here

They live double lives

of missing and unreported

employment

Parallel beings

They know the price of hugs

their work, their privacy

They are enormous

But they are far away

Maybe just when you

need them the most

to be close, to be silent

with her

They left

because in this country

which constantly speaks

about family

they cant have support

as housewives

but nobody knows

how much work is spent

in raising children

in nurturing their mental health

in richness and support

of their psychological life

in every tear and smile

but in every washed dish

every washed cloth

all the launches they cooked

all the floor they washed

until they left to work

as elderly sitters

in all smiles they shared

in virtually and reality

like everything is alright

no matter what
