They asked me to write a love poem
And I don‘t know how to start
They asked me to fit in a definitive
number of lines to fill the given space
But if it‘s real love, there are no limits
for expressions, words, and a style
but if there is none, you can fit it in
in the shortest haiku where blank
space would be louder than words
I don‘t want to talk about love
because if I am too loud, maybe
I wouldn‘t hear it sneaking around me
and making a fool of me every time
I don‘t want to talk about love
cause I don‘t want any definitions to give
and that would restrain me
further somewhere in life
I don‘t want to write a love poem
because every time I do that
it probably is not love, but a mistake
which I have to analyze and
probably do the same thing
in life again, like a never learned
a lesson and there is plenty of them
They asked me to write a love poem
But I decided to be a quiet listener
Maybe that one would be the strongest
poem about love that I ever made.
