Courage

To be a poet is to be brave to be vulnerable

is to give yourself entirely into a flow

of thoughts and emotions

to show to be seen

to be able to translate an abstract

to easy -understandable

Jean Luc Nancy would put it difficult

it’s a threshold of openess about things

difficult to unravel feelings

into the metrics, verses, and rhythms,

difficult to find synonyms for unreachable

metaphor for undescribable

difficult to set rules for something

which escapes being governable

you have to know what is inside

in every corner and depth of you

to be able to speak

the authentic internal language

without interruptions

there is no room for fear in this destination

where it beats or feels beaten

where it hurts or feels healed

strong to hold you on every ground

powerful to move you in every direction

confident to lead you into an unknown

and back to the safety of your own

coordinate system to reach again

for the distance, you want to explore

it’s a topographical tactile map

it touches you in places

revealing common points

as a route to understanding

it gives you a sign

that we are not lost together

but searching for the meaning

laid between us in the language

as a part of our external mental space

that often look like a labyrinth

thus poetry is a red-thread

of speaking up about the experience

of surviving on this planet

about how to be brave to be vulnerable

I guess there is a bit of a poet

in every sensible human being in this world

hard to face, but at the same time – beautiful.

To be a poet is to be brave to be vulnerable

despite everything you get in return

in that same difficult world.
